Mood board

My mood board represents all the different emotions I feel when listening to "Awolnation - It's not your fault". I like to think of it as rapid visual prototyping because of how precise it is with the images I had in my head when listening to the song. The first thing I did before creating the mood board, I evaluated the project and picked the mood board style that I believed would work best. The second time I listened to track, I then started to bullet point the idea’s and images I had in my head. After completing that, I then went through my story board and made sure that everything was somehow connected to each other and that no massive gaps we’re left. When listening to the song, it made me want to get up and just act all crazy. I envisioned a neighbourhood where everyone knew everything about each other. I had an image of a little boy getting bullied at the start and then as soon the beat dropped, he then turned into bully. I also had a picture of that one nosy neighbour that just couldn’t help herself from gossiping and interfering in other people’s business. That one crazy scientist that know one ever see’s because never leaves the house, always trying to exceed nature’s limitations. I wanted to include a neighbourhood whore that goes around sleeping with every boy in my music video because it’s something that happens on a daily basis, but people just don’t know about it. A group of parents that pretend to like each other but deep down there’s just deep bitter jealousy. Basically I just wanted to have a neighbourhood that was pretty diverse. Everyone there have different thing going on in their lives that know one really knows about because they just simply don’t care. I decided to use relaxed fonts because if I had used an edgy font, it would have transformed the image of my music video completely. Everything had to be just right. All for 7 times that I repeated the song; I only had an image of one main character that had a rock star look to him. Despite the fact that everyone lived in the same neighbourhood, he is also used a way to connect everything and everyone together because he is the only one in the neighbourhood that knows everyone and everything.
